How unlimited billing works

If you’re on an unlimited energy plan, your charges are based on a fixed monthly quote agreed at the start of your contract — not on your actual usage.

This makes payments predictable and simple throughout your term (subject to any applicable fair-usage terms in your contract).

Key points

  • Fixed monthly charge

You’re charged the full quoted amount each month, regardless of how much energy you use. Your consumption is not monitored for billing purposes.

  • No unit rates

Unlike metered tariffs, unlimited accounts don’t use unit rates (kWh or m³). There’s no per-unit price — just the fixed monthly rate and any applicable standing charges stated in your agreement.

  • No refunds for low usage

If you use less energy than expected (or don’t use the service at all), no refunds or credits are applied. The fixed amount still applies.

  • No final bill adjustments

At the end of your contract — or if you cancel mid-month — charges are based on the full billing month. There’s no pro-rata adjustment or recalculation for partial use.

Changes to your plan or services

If you add or remove other services in your package (e.g., broadband or council tax billing), we’ll update your invoice to reflect those changes. For energy itself, your unlimited fixed amount remains as quoted for your contract term, unless your agreement says otherwise.
