Why Submitting Meter Readings Matters

Submitting meter readings regularly ensures your bills are based on actual usage rather than estimated values. This helps prevent overcharges or undercharges.

If we don’t receive a reading for over a month, you’ll get a reminder to submit one.

FAQs and Common Scenarios

Q: I can’t access the portal — how can I submit my readings?
A: If you’re having trouble logging in, email your meter reading photo(s) to [email protected] and our team can upload them for you.

Q: I’ve moved out — how do I submit a closing reading?
A: You can obtain a final reading from your landlord or letting agent. If your reading photo doesn’t show the date, include a picture of your check-out report that shows the reading and date.

Q: Can I submit a reading without a photo?
A: No. A photo is required as evidence in case of billing disputes with the supplier. It must show the reading and meter serial number clearly.

Q: Do we need to act on emails requesting meter readings if we have a Smart Meter, and have our readings been received since the meter was fitted?

A: We still ask for meter readings each month to ensure billing accuracy and so we have evidence if we ever need to dispute anything for you. It's in your best interest to upload these so we have a record.

Q: I just got the keys — when should I submit the reading?
A: As soon as you have access to the property, take a photo of the meter and upload it to the portal.

Q: I can’t find the meter — what should I do?
A: Check our Meter Readings Blog for guidance on locating your meter in your property.
